Welcome!

If you are looking for an opportunity to serve the Lord Jesus Christ beyond church walls, and want to make a positive difference in the lives of people caught up in or affected by the criminal justice system, then we'd like to meet you.

Our volunteers come from a wide range of denominations, churches, and home fellowships, each with its own unique history, doctrine, and contribution to the peace of the community and the vitality of the Body of Christ. On an ongoing basis, our volunteers demonstrate Christ's love, and walk in the wonderful unity that comes when Jesus is our only foundation.

Our organization's stated mission is "to reduce crime, one changed life at a time." Click on the Our Mission link to the left for details about how we're doing it.

Our ministry is primarily to men, women, and children currently incarcerated in southern Indiana's prisons, jails, and youth detention centers...but we don't stop there. After an inmate's release, we maintain the relationships that start behind bars, with the goal of helping newly released offenders make a successful and permanent transition from incarceration to freedom. We also minister to the spouses and families of incarcerated people whenever possible.

This means that Christian Formation Ministries (CFM) volunteers serve the Lord both inside and outside southern Indiana's prisons and jails. So, whether you feel called to minister inside or outside, there are numerous service opportunities waiting for you.

We are not a church, but we are a blatantly Christian, in-love-with-Jesus organization. If you become part of our volunteer team, you will be serving in an openly Christian environment, living and doing the Gospel.

And even though our mission is serious, we have a lot of fun together!
